Answer:

Marketing Engineering 2.4 will work under the Vista Operating System with Microsoft Excel 2003. It will not work with Microsoft Excel 2007. You will need to make some changes during the setup procedure to insure that the software runs properly. Please follow the directions below.

1) This is the first warning that may occur when trying to install Marketing Engineering Classic v2.4. Ignore this warning if it occurs.

2) Locate the shortcut for ME and open its Properties tab (right click on icon and select Properties). Check options for running in compatibility mode and running as an administrator.

3) Once the program launches, go to Help -> Preferences and set the path to Microsoft Excel. Below is only an example, you will need to find the location of Excel on your computer.

4) Close and re-launch the program. It should now launch MS Excel and open without any warnings. (Note: make sure that Macro Security is set to Low in Excel.)

5) Keep Excel open at all times. You may close individual spreadsheets but you should keep the Excel parent window open at all times while working with Marketing Engineering.
